No, seriously, that's all there is to it. Neat, huh?
Soundacious Records presents '2011: Year of Awesome'

In celebration of the fact that I've been writing and recording songs for 20 years now, I'm proud to announce a special music offer that will only be available through March of 2011. The funds from this sale will go directly into the recording and production of an all-new CD, due to be released before the end of the summer. This looks to be a banner year for my music, and you can be a part of it!

For the ridiculously low price of $20.11, you will get:

UNTITLED JOHN VOORHEES ALBUM (2011)

This is not a real CD. But it will be.

An autographed copy of my absolutely latest CD, my first collection of all new songs in 5 years! You'll get it delivered to your door as soon as it's ready, probably late summer or early fall. Please note, your purchase could make this happen even faster!

AND!

A high-quality digital download of the new album as soon as it is available. That's right, you will be able to listen to the new set before the CD even arrives!

PLUS!

I'll be documenting my work on the new album on an exclusive, password-protected site, and you will be able to listen to the songs as they develop. I'll be squeezing in alternate mixes, videos, and who knows what else! Only paid members (that means you!) will have access to this cool stuff, and you can let me know your reactions to the whole mess as I'm still working on the final product. When have you ever had the opportunity to do THAT kind of thing before?

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!

Your choice of one of the following CDs, autographed, mailed to you in 2 weeks or less:

Windows and Walls (1994)

Recorded in Shreveport, LA, this is the closest thing to a "concept album" I've ever done. The first half, "Windows", contains songs about openness, friendliness and all-around good feelings. Then comes "Walls", which is about the other stuff.
This collection includes: Open Like A Door, Coming Down, A Sad Man, and Must Go.

Hear it now!

The Swing (1996)

Recorded at October Moon Studios in the breathtaking mountains outside of Rochester, VT, this is my first "real" studio production. It features a few guest musicians, too! Many of the songs revolve around the ideas of balance, cycles and equilibrium.
This collection includes: Magnificent Loser, Relativity (Come September), Rain Dance and Nightmare Town.

Hear it now!

Asking For Trouble, Volume 1 (2000)

Exclusive! While supplies last! This is actually an MP3.com-created "DAM CD", which can be played in a regular CD player but also includes mp3 files. I released this midway through the production of Asking For Trouble, and it is almost identical to the first half of that CD. BUT it is the only place you will find the song "Why Would I Lie". It's a true collector's item, and there will only ever be so many of them.
This collection includes: Undercover Maggie, April Snow, and The Beginning of the End.

AND WE'RE STILL NOT DONE!

You also get a high-quality digital download of ANY of my eight previous albums from Bandcamp.com!

WHEW! SO LET'S RECAP, SHALL WE?

for only
twenty dollars and eleven cents?

COME ON, NOW! THAT'S CRAZY TALK!

Ah, but seriously, this is how it's going to be. I consider this to be a grand experiment in sustaining my independent musical life and also a bit of gratitude to loyal listeners. If it's not obvious yet:

The reason 2011 is The Year of Awesome is because I have awesome fans, friends and family.

Thanks so much to all of you for the support you've already given me through the years, and I hope you'll help me get this new party off the ground by filling out the order form on this page. We're going to have some fun!

Awesomely yours,
John Voorhees
